Villa Busca Serbelloni “La Palazzetta” ha attraversato diverse fasi di restauro a partire dalla metà degli anni ’80. Sin da allora il piano terreno ospitava gli “architetti” e i primi interventi riguardarono questo piano e la copertura.
In questo periodo, in prima linea assieme a Renato Ruatti operavano Alberto Grimoldi, professore di restauro al Politecnico di Milano, e Thomas Becker architetto ingegnere musicista tedesco esperto di sistemi di riscaldamento a bassa temperatura, allora all’avanguardia.
Così, passando attraverso la conservazione di ogni traccia del passato recuperabile unitamente all’introduzione di parti nuove semplicemente autentiche, la casa torna a vivere: studio sotto, abitazione sopra. Una seconda parte di lavori è realizzata all’inizio degli anni 2000 e riguarda sempre lo spazio interno.
Ancora oggi la Palazzetta è sede di Ruattistudio Architetti.
Oggi il progetto di restauro riguarda l’esterno, le facciate oltre alla copertura e lo spazio antistante lasciato libero dal distributore di benzina che lo occupava dalla metà del secolo scorso.

Since the mid 80s, Villa Busca Serbelloni “La Palazzetta” has gone through various stages of restoration. Since then, the ground floor housed the “architects” and the first interventions concerned both this floor and roof.
At the time, working together with Renato Ruatti were Alberto Grimoldi, restoration professor at Politecnico di Milano, and Thomas Becker, German architect engineer and musician, expert in avantgarde low temperature heating systems.
Through the conservation of every recoverable trace of the past, together with the introduction of new authentic parts, the house comes back to life: studio below, habitation above. A second part of works has been done in the early 2000s, still concerning the interior space.
Even now, Palazzetta hosts the headquarters of Ruattistudio Architetti.
Today, the restoration project concerns the exterior, the facades as well as the roof and the space on the front, cleared by the petrol station which utilized it since the middle of the last century.
